Link Financial Elements to Controls

Linking financial elements directly to controls supports an organizations control based approach to financial reporting. As clients have several options with regards to linking risk and control content to financial elements, the administrator must enable the linking of financial elements to risks or to controls.

1. Expand the Control folder in the RCM for the selected entity.
2. Double-click the control you wish to edit, or right-click and select View Object.

   Note: You can also access the control from the RCM form.

   1. Double-click the RCM or right-click and and select View Object.
   2. Click the name of the control you wish to evaluate from the control list

   

3. Click the Financial Elements tab.
4. Click Link in the Financial Elements section.

5. Select the check box next to the name of the financial element you wish to link to the control.

   Note: Only financial elements that have been previously linked to the entity are available for selection.

6. Click Save.
