Complete an Assigned Task in the Project Workbench

Individuals assigned responsibility for completing tasks update the Task Execution Information. This includes task status, marking the task complete and adding any steps or comments relevant to completing the task. Only an Admin can re-open a task that has been marked complete by clearing the Completed check box. When the Execution Information section is updated, the process owner and initiator may be notified by email that there has been a change. If notified, the email contains a link directly to the task. While working in the Project Workbench offline, all emails are cached until you synchronize with the server.

  1. Access the task.
  2. Click Edit.
  3. Enter any steps you completed to conduct the test.
  4. Select the status from the drop-down list.
  5. Select the Completed check box when you have completed your testing and are ready to close the task.

    Note: Closing a task prevents the task from being edited or deleted from the system. Once a task is closed, no further edits can be made to the task. Users who have been assigned to the task or the Admin can close a task. Only the appropriate Admin (enterprise, org-level or process level) can re-open a task.

  6. Click Save.
